Symposium Abstract Awards

AMIT’s aim is to provide opportunities.

AMIT will offer:
2 Best Oral Presentations
2 Best Poster Presentations
1 Travel Award

The awards will be given to the most outstanding presentations and will be granted to the presenting author of the abstract. Any author can be the presenting author only in one abstract but can be a contributing author in other abstracts.

 

Oral Presentation Award Competition

This award will be presented to the most outstanding oral presentation of the symposium. There will be 2 Awards for Oral Presentations.

The 2 winners will receive 1000€ each and a certificate for their achievement.

Procedure: Participants of the AMIT Symposium in Berlin, Germany in 2024 wishing to participate in the competition must submit their abstracts during the submission period of the AMIT Symposium, indicating that they are applying for the Oral Presentation Award.  The Scientific Committee will review and evaluate all abstracts submitted for this competition based on the criteria described below.

The below criteria will be taken into consideration for this award and marks are given out of 100.

  • Value/Depth of the Content – 40%
  • Clarity of Presentation – 30%
  • Presentation Skills – 20%
  • Proper Timing – 10%

Following the initial selection by the Scientific Committee only a certain number of eligible abstracts will be selected for entry into the final stage of the competition during the Symposium.  The presenting authors of these short-listed abstracts will then be informed by the Scientific Committee, as being candidates for the Oral Presentation Award, and must present their research at the AMIT Oral Award Competition Session at the Symposium.  The abstract should be presented by the presenting author otherwise the abstract will be withdrawn from the competition and will be presented as a regular abstract.  Each short-listed candidate will be judged by three senior colleagues who will decide on the two winners for this award.

Abstracts submitted for the competition but not shortlisted for the final Oral Presentation Award Competition will still be accepted for presentation at the Symposium as oral presentations.  The presenting authors will be informed of acceptance or rejection by the Scientific Committee.

 

Poster Presentation Award Competition

This award will be presented to the most outstanding poster presentation of the symposium.  There will be 2 Awards for Poster Presentations.

The 2 winners will receive 1000€ each and a certificate for their achievement.

Travel Award Competition

AMIT, in the attempt to support young researchers to attend the Symposium introduced the Travel Award.  Candidates eligible to participate in this Award should be under the age of 35 years on the date of the AMIT Symposium and should reside in a middle or low economy country based on World Bank classification.  The award is offered in order to  financially assist young colleagues to attend the event, to present their research and to participate in the AMIT Symposium.

There will be 1 Travel Award and the winner will receive 1000€ and a certificate for this achievement.

Procedure:  Participants of the AMIT Symposium in Berlin in order to participate in the competition must submit their abstracts during the submission period of the AMIT Symposium, indicating that they are applying for the Travel Award.

The Scientific Committee will review and evaluate all abstracts submitted for this competition based on the criteria described below.

The Scientific Committee will review and evaluate all abstracts submitted for this Award and decide soon after the closing date of the abstract submission period.  The winner will then be informed of the decision and can participate in the Seminar without expenses for a maximum amount of 1,000 euros, covering registration, accommodation and travel.
Abstracts that are not selected for the Travel Award will be accepted for presentation at the AMIT Symposium.  The presenting author will be informed of acceptance or rejection by the Scientific Committee.
